We take a look at how much the narrative has changed since Mike Norvell arrived at Florida State. What do these expectations mean going forward and can the staff possibly fulfill them.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY ! ❤️
As we look at the calender we are three weeks from spring practice, two months from the spring game, and almost seven months to the 2023 season kickoff. With every day that passes the expectations for this season are steadily climbing.
It has been a turbulent flight path to get here but in year four under Coach Norvell the roster has finally hit it’s critical mass. I could go on and on about the revolutionary way he did it but the fact is Mike Norvell has managed to totally flip a bad roster into in an elite one in three years.
The staff came in here and cleaned house from 2020 through 2021 and worked right away at building relationships with the players left on the roster and the right ones to add to it. All of this work culminated into the 2023 Transfer portal class consisting of no projects, just legitimate Power 5 starters ready to come in and impact the game.
Combine #Tribe23 with the 29 Battle’s end retainments and you end up with 58 Scholarship players guarenteed to be on the roster. The remaining 32 Scholarship spots all belong to legitimate power five football players which is quite an amazing statement to be able to make given we have attrition of fifteen so far as well.
That said these players will battle it out and between now and fall we can expect an additional attriton of 5 - 12 playesrs with five being the absolute minimum necessary to reach the in-season 85 player scholarship limit down from 90 currently.
Anything less than an ACC Title and College Football Playoff berth will certainly be a disappointment to us here at the Renegade Report. Let’s see what the rest of the nation is saying?
