FSU Football: FSU has a Legacy Commitment!
Defensive back Antonio Cromartie Jr will follow in his father’s footsteps and play for Florida State.
Florida State added another high school prospect to its defensive back room, and this commitment should be especially satisfying to the FSU faithful. The commitment is Antonio Cromartie Jr, son of former Florida State defensive back Antonio Cromartie. The 5’11 170 pound Carrolton, Georgia product comes to Florida State on the heels of a standout senior season.
Cromartie Jr helped lead his alma mater to the Georgia Class 6A state championship game with 85 tackles, four forced fumbles, four pass breakups, and an interception. Those are impressive numbers playing the highest level of competition in the state of Georgia.
What is Florida State getting in Antonio Cromartie Jr? Florida State is getting a well-coached played who flashes good coverage skills at the safety position. Cromartie Jr is a willing participant in run support, and even showed potential as a pass rusher in some film I watched.
The more film I watched, the more I am convinced that this kid is underrated. I believe that this is a good take for the staff, and I’m curious to see how he develops during his time at Florida State. Go Noles!
