FSU Football: Jaheim Bell Commits
South Carolina 6'3" 232lb Transfer Tight-end immediately improves the Nole's starting offense.
Why is Jaheim Bell such a huge addition for the Noles? The answer lies in between Norvell’s offensive design and Bell’s explosive ability at his position. The day he arrives in Tallahassee he will effectively replace former highschool quarterback, turned walk-on TE, Wyatt Rector. That is a scary proposition, especially considering the return of the majority of the playmakers on offense.
Jordan Travis, Trey Benson, Johnny Wilson, Winston Wright Jr, along with Kentron Portier and Malik McClain make concentrating any special attention on Jaheim simply unfeasable. That will be a giant problem for defenses who will be forced to load the box versus Norvell’s potent run game. Jaheim Bell is a mismatch on any DB and those TE screens with him will be devastating. I imagine several corner backs in the coming 2023 season will make business decisions staring down Bell.
