A New Era In Florida State Football Recruiting Begins.
It has been quite the arduous journey for Mike Norvell and his coaching staff to reach this point in his program’s development. I’ve written at length about his unconventional yet extremely effective evaluation, and roster management strategy here.
After three full years on the job and finally making a breakthrough to ten wins in 2022 again this strategy is changing drasticly while also staying exactly the same. All of the sudden negative recruiting, which had been quite possibly the single biggest hurdle in his path, is no longer a big problem. All of the sudden the Seminoles are the safe choice, and title contenders as we work towards kick off on September 3rd.
It’s pretty telling just how secure Coach Norvell is at the helm of our Unconquered Seminoles when you look at a bit of news that broke this morning….

Very interesting timing here I must say. Truly a testament to the Norvell’s commitment to the program and his appreciation for the oppurtunity to be the Head Ball Coach of The Florida State Seminoles.
Needless to say Coach is 100% bought in to bringing our beloved program all the way to the very top of the mountain. There are countless factors that go into making this happen but the most important factor in getting there is high-school recruiting.
Let’s take a look at the monumental recruiting weekend that Norvell has lined up in Tallahassee. Your mind may wander back to one of Willie Taggart’s Saturday Night Lights events but they pale in comparison and were more parties with food and drinks than a recruiting weekend of strengthening the legitimate relationships already in place.
