No surprise here but yet another Cane hits the portal…..
Any good football player leaving Miami is a plus for Florida State fans. Still, it doesn’t get much better than a sixth year starter at offensive tackle. It is truly a position of need for all 130+ Division one teams in America.
6th Year Miami Offensive Tackle takes flight but to where?
Makes sense that the upper-classmen tackle would have suitors able to fly him anywhere in the nation, heck all the way out to Hawaii if need be but where could he be heading?
Destination | Champion Hall | FSU
Lo and behold we have our answer Nole Nation! This story was first reported by Noles 247 I believe, but John Campbell made it no secret and this news will be the talk of the timeline in the morning along with UF’s loss in the Las Vegas Bowl. Mike Norvell is really gaining ground in-state also hosting blue-chip Gator high-school commit Andy Jean.

Player Profile
John Campbell Jr. is a six foot five inch offensive tackle weighing in at 320 pounds and heading into his redshirt senior season in 2023 (year 6). He has spent his entire career at Miami playing in thirty four games while starting eighteen of them. He has sixteen starts a left tackle and two at right tackle.
The Miami OL transfer hails out of Orlando, Florida and played his high school ball at Dr. Phillips High School. According to 247 sports John was a three-star and the #36 offensive tackle in the nation.
While being a sixth year player in 2023, thanks to a redshirt, and the covid year exemption, Campbell would have two years to play in Tallahassee. He would immediately raise the floor and ceiling of the offensive line room at FSU. Offensive tackle is the hardest commodity to come by in all of college football.
Can the Noles land the coveted offensive tackle
This news has just hit the beat so I have very little information on what communicaton has gone on between Campbell Jr. and the Florida State coaching staff. That said with Jazston Turnetine gone to the NFL and Bless Harris’ status and health in question it would be a huge get. Jeremiah Byers remains near the top of the board for the Noles but he is really enjoying the recruiting process and can’t be the only big tackle target the Noles go after.
