What happened within CFB over the weekend and what do the Seminoles have planned for this coming week. Mike Norvell and his Florida State Seminoles are marching right along just fand I'll tell ya how.

Recruiting Anxiety Builds
All you have to do is go back two months and #FSUTwitter was on top of the world having three blue chip commitments in less than a week to propel them to a top five ranking. One of those three included flipping the number one tight end from the number one team in the nation.
Back then we didn't celebrate as if it was ESD because we all know there is still a long ways to go and most importantly, games to be played on and off the field. There are absolutely zero awards given out for having the best recruiting class in April, or June for that matter. That said I understand there is a mounting anxiety amongst the fanbase given Mike Norvells track record thus far in High school recruiting.
I could write ten thousand words on this but I'll break it down into a few main points. Not the least of which is the fact that if you simply compare this 2024 recruiting class with where the previous three were at this point….. well there is no comparison. Luke Kromenhoek is that guy at QB and a likely 5☆ before it's over. Florida State hasn't landed a single blue chip TE in his tenure, yet we have the best one in the nation committed. As far as RB goes Kam Davis is clearly the best to date coming out as well. Add four blue chip HS WRs to that equation as well.
The other reason I'd point out to you guys is simply strategy; this is not 2022. It's not 2021 and it's not 2020, this is a completely different year guys. It's not even 2018 or 2019 for that matter things have changed at Florida State since then. This season is a positive for us we are looking forward to it. We aren't pressuring recruits into signing right now, we don't have to have our entire class locked in before the season.
We're just not in that same boat anymore. This recruiting staff is weighing their options, whale hunting. They are not gonna bullshit these kids and I promise you this class, when it comes time for early signing day will be in the top 5 to top 10 mark.my words.
I know some of it can't be helped and we are FSU; we want the best of the best but sometimes the turtle does in face win the race. If you find yourself stressing over the recruiting class waiting on July to get here just think about the talent level of this roster since Norvell has arrived. Now think about the fact he did all of that with a bunch of avg #20 recruiting classes. This #Tribe2024 class is going to blow them away.
Once you add in the second year of quality football on the field with all the postseason implications, a more manageable schedule, the football only facility under construction, the 2025 class and beyond will compete for the absolute best of the best without question. The name of the game is winning at the end if the day and all these summertime false promises never last. Have faith in your coaching staff and the rock solid class they are putting together and the master of roster management that is Mike Norvell. I will do my best to keep you informed along the way.
UF Loses a QB and Then Goes On A Roll
Twitter was a raging animal of beef and trolls back and forth between the FSU and UF in particular. It all started out with a bit of a competition between their respective 2024 #QB1s at the Elite11. The showcase ended with our guy Luke Kromenhoek dominating and we covered the entire three day event in an article here.
Following the Elite 11 Josh Newberg if ON3 broke a story on 2025 QB Austin Simmons reclassified all the way to the 2023 class. What's more is he said that Austin was indeed already enrolling into classes at UF. He cited a post made by Swamp247 writer Keith Niebuhr. Unfortunately for everyone involved the kid wanted to announce his reclassification himself AND he committed to Ole Miss in a flip.

You can imagine it was quite the tangled mess of righteous indignation, trolling, deleted tweets and everything else. It came out what Keith said was on a message board and he simply cited the dates he could enroll IF he committed to the Gators. This makes the fourth blue chip QB ( one borderline three star) Billy Napier has lost and with Graham Ertz being the best option behind center, Simmons would have been a huge get. Austin is an Ole Miss Rebel and Lane Kifffen (along with plenty of FSU and Ole Miss fans) made sure to hit UF with some light hearted digs. In my estimation Napier went ahead and called in some favors to swing the narrative and change up the momentum. Nonetheless he got it done. and landed four commits in one day including 4☆ DL Nasir Johnson who will be on campus for a visit at FSU this weekend.
Targets on Imminent Commit Watch
4☆ S Ricardo Jones | June 27th | Heavy Clemson lean
4☆ TE Kylan Fox | July 4th | Cosidering UCF
2025 5☆ WR Jamie Ffrench | July 22nd | Mandarin HS
5☆ CB Charles Lester
Official Visit Results
Charles Lester - 5☆ CB
By all accounts we had another successful weekend of Official Visits on campus including 5☆ DB Charles Lester a major target for Mike Norvell, Pat Surtain and entire staff. Lester put on a fashion clinic rocking a fresh pair of designer threads every day he arrived to campus.
There was a whole lot of commotion around Lester's visit to Colorado but after this weekend the fanbase can relax a bit. Charles Lester has long been considered a Florida State lean and has actively recruited for #Tribe24 and I expect that to continue
Ricky Night III - 4☆ ATH
Ricky is a four star ATH that Patrick Surtain and the FSU coaching staff want as a cornerback. The Noles were on Night III very early but not that they backed off lately there just hasn't been much to report on the recruitment.

That changed with this weekends Official visit. By all accounts, from everyone that was around the program this past weekend, his visit went off without a hitch and we got him into the all-whites for his photoshoot. This always bodes well. He is set to make his decision sometime in July, a month that may prove quite fruitful for the Noles.
Kevin Levy - 3☆ ATH
Kevin Levy is an undersized wide receiver/ athlete who Florida State is looking at as a db prospect along with offers from some other schools including UF, Louisville, da u, Texas A&M & more. If this sounds familiar it's because it's very similar to his high-school teammate at Cardinal Newman HS, Palm Beach FL, Ricky Knight III.
I believe this one came down to FSU & UF and whichever showed tmhim the most welcome home was gonna get the nid and Florida State made it clear that Tallahassee was home for him and hopefully Ricky as well. Yesterday following his visit two crystal balls were entered on 247 in favor of the Noles. One was Nole247's Zach Blostein and the Other Swamp247s Blake Alderman.
Zavier Mincey - 4☆ S
Next up is a 6’ 3” & 180lb prototype of what Patrick Surtain and Adam Fuller want roaming around at the safety position. There are currently no crystal balls in for the top 150 Recruit and is consider to be a classic Sunshine State Showdown between FSU , UM and UF.
While all the schools like their chances and I know some Gator outlets feel he is leaning their way, following this past weekends visit, I'm convinced he is now a Florida State lean. Friend of the site, Spearatics put in his own crystal ball prediction with I believe an 81 percent confidence level for Mincey. I'm not quite there yet but, I love it.
Alex January - 3☆ OT
Alex is a Texas kid projected at defensive tackle. He is currently listed as a three star but with and offer list of: FSU, LSU, Texas, UM, and many more he is the real deal with a high ceiling. Alex loved his visit and really respects the staff's straight up.appproach and honesty. in such a lean year for defensive line talent I wouldn't he surprised to see him end up.in this class.
Micheal Boganowski - 4☆ LB ( 6-20)
Micheal is a 6’2” Linebackers from Junction City, Kansas. I'm not going to lie to you and tell younI know all.avout this guy and I've been watching his tape for years etc. I honestly heard about this kid do8jg my research putting together the visitor list last Thursday and one of my sources told me about him.
That said he fits right into the type of player Randy Shannon likes to bring in. It appears that Kansas State and Oklahoma are thought of as the leaders if you look at 247 though he has no crystal balls entered at this moment.
Florida State has missed out on a few linebackers they wanted in this class already to other programs. We currently await a decision from Edwin Spillman who the longer thus thing drags out appears to be leaning toward his hometown Vols. Should he commit there I'd expect this staff to make a hard push for Boganowski. Stay tuned and I will keep you guys updated as these recruitment continue to develop.
Big Time Visitors During The Week
5☆ WR and Ohio State Verbal Commit Jeremiah Smith will be in Tallahassee and the red carpet will be rolled out for him and a few other selected folks.
5☆ Safety KJ Bolden is also in town for an unofficial. This is big news after recent developments had vaulted UGA to very large lead. Getting him on campus, hopefully with his intermediate family, on a Monday with fellow 5☆ Jeremiah Smith proves his recruitment is far from over.
