The signing of Florida HB 7-B has changed the NIL game. Mike Norvell wasted no time homolgating the Top Seminole Name image and likeness collective ran by Ingram Smith.
A New Chapter For The Battle’s End & Florida State
With the passing of the revised NIL bill Mike Norvell and Ingram Smith wasted no time to express the coaches homulgation of the premier collective. What exactly does this mean for the football program, recruiting amd retainment moving forward? Let’s hear from Coach Norvell and then discuss.

What has changed?
When name image and likeness became a reality a few years ago Florida had been one of the very first states to pass legislation to allow Student Athletes in the state to profit from it. The bill was so early no one had any idea just how much everything would change in the next few years.
The original HB-7 Bill was drafted with the idea of protecting the institutions from attack from the NCAA and keep coaches and the Universities removed from being involved directly with these NIL deals and what became a tangled web of collectives under no true leadership at the top. This meant Billy Napier at UF and Mario Cristobal at Miami basically becoming beholden and reliant on these collectives to act in the best interests of the program.
The possibilities are endless now that the Coaches can be involved. Imagine how many cool things it will allow?

That said funnily enough thanks to The Battle’s End Collective and Ingram Smith Florida State and Mike Norvell had no such issue. Any die hard Nole understands that Ingram is extremely intelligent, in tune with the Seminole’s program from top to bottom and knows exactly what needs to happen. Ultimately while a bit of a hinderance when battling schools in other states in recruiting I’d say in 2022/ 23 it was a big-time advantage for the Noles landing a stellar group and retaining 87% of 2022’s production.
Now with the revised bill passed this is all a moot point and the playing field has been leveled and universities in the state of Florida can compete at the highest possible level with the direct support and bargaining power of their head coach and universities. This new bill allows for a dynamic relationship between the program, mainly Mike Norvell and his large staff, and most importantly TBE and Ingram Smith but any NIL collectives or personal connections to their team and players advantage.
This is just another feather in the Noles cap for what figures to be the best year in almost decade for The Florida State Football program. Stay tuned as we closely moniter the stiuation and eagerly await the next big news to bit the wire.
