FSU Football: Transfer Portal Targets Scoop 🔥 | Two Guys You MUST Know Plus A Legend Soon Arrives & More!?
Florida State and Mike Norvell have absolutely dominated the transfer portal since it's introduction. The post spring session is a mere fraction of the initial portal period but still KEY to success.
Scholarship Count
FSU currently sits right at 80 scholarships - or + one scholarship at the most. With the portal entry window finally closed this will give is a legitimate idea of who we can/ will be signing moving forward.
81.) CJ Campbell
82.) Unicorn Nole (🤣)
*POSSIBLE* Additions
83.) Jaylen Key - S
84.) Keon Coleman - WR
85.) Safety, LB, DE, or just the best olayer available whatsoever.
Keon Coleman | MSU WR
Wide-Reciever is not a position of need by any means, but several have left this particular offseason. Ontario Wilson, Malik McClain, and Mycah Pittman are all gone and Keon would be an immmediate updgrade. That aside I’m telling you now he is THE top the portal prospect available which tells you all you need to know.
This staff identified and attacked this recruitment at break-neck speed as always and will get him on campus. I don’t have a crystal trophy prediction just yet but I love our chances to scoop him up. Coleman is a true wide receiver and has the full route tree at his disposal despite what some blogs and articles may have you believe. While he can jump out of the gym and is an amazing jump ball guy that is far from his “game” and I believe he would immediately compete for playing time with Kentron Portier outside.
Just to put it in the simplest terms I can, had Keon been a part of last years WR transfer group he would have been the highest rated one and it wouldn’t have been particularly close in my opinion. He is a finished product and just exactly what Norvell and crew had been trying to develop Malik McClain into. He is the perfect piece to top off that room and I just gotta have him.
If this one doesn’t work out another name that could possibly emerge is that of a certain UF wide receiver Xavier Henderson though this one is currently leaning in a different direction.
Jaylen Key | UAB Safety

This kid is an absolute slam dunk for the staff and checks all the boxes for what we need at this time. He will be on campus this week if not already at this time lol. He is a natural safety and fires downhill. In this day and age the art of the tackle is under heavy diress. The Seminoles have struggled quite abit in this facet of secondary play. Enter Jammie Robinson and we had a tackling machine at safety the past two years as an All-Conference player.
It’s my opinion Key can fill those shoes immediately. The day he steps foot on campus he will likely fit in as the first safety behind Akeem Dent and Shyheim Brown and likely be on the field with them in certain situations. Not only that he will likely push Akeem for his spot if he isn’t carefull. Sidney Williams, Duke Cooper and Travis Jay have left the Noles thin at safety but if we can bring in Key he will be an immediate upgrade all of them.
X’s & Noles Film Review
The X’s and Noles guys always do a good job breaking these guys down and this is a great video to learn about what each of these potential Nole playmakers can do.

This Edna Carr High-School alumni and former teamate with starting nickel Greedy Vance Jr. is the Unicorn I spoke of, and what started several months ago with a Sam Spiegelman report of a prayer and a dream is closer to becoming reality. Other outlets have since picked it up and confirmed the story. I can’t tell you 100% he will make it in but there are people within the program that truly believe he will be there this month. We will soon find out one way or another as we have finally reached May.
Ashlynd Barker - Juco
Just this morning Adam fuller and Mike Norvell extended an offer to a Juco safety which comes as no surprise given the depth concerns there. The only other P5 offer he has is Oregon State and I really do not know much about him. The news here is just the fact that he was indeed offered a scholarship. As amazing as Norvell and staff has done managing the roster the concentration of safeties leaving has caused a legitimate issue here.
Stay Tuned and we will keep you updated on these evolving situations as always! Also if your not already subscribed go check out our friend Chris Frazier of Spearatics show where he talks about recruiting as a whole heading into May by clicking this handy dandy link! 👇
