There are no more asterisks or qualifications around this program. They are recruiting at an elite level and bringing in the best of the best in high school and the transfer portal. After already picking up the #1 IOL Solomon Thomas you turn around and flip a Top50 Overall DE from Bama. Just over a week ago pundits were calling for my guy Jon Papuchis job. Boy do those takes look funny in the light.
Coach Papuchis helps extend the Seminoles hot streak flipping elite defensive end and Top50 overall player Javion Hilson from the Crimson Tide. We have spoken heavily about the growth of Mike Norvell and his staff.
When other programs are quick to pull the trigger on assistants when things don't go there way Mike Norvell has followed the Bobby Bowden approach of continuity. With multiple years of proven success on the field with both High school and portal kids all of the sudden there is nothing left to negative recruit.
While ESPN and the SEC sold a tired clichéd narrative as to their reasoning to leave out an undefeated FSU football team they did not fool these young men. How ironic Mike Norvell is Alabamas top target ( the team that was forced in with a loss over the Noles) and all of Saban's player and recruits seem to want to CLIMB.
