First of the ALL-FSU Double Header is Robert Scott Jr. Hosted by Spearatics’ Chris Frazier.
Robert Scott Jr. came to Florida State as member of the 2020 High School Class. The entire globe stuck in he throes of a pandemic; everything was different. Not only that, but Florida state has just fired their last head coach in-season and brought in Mike Norvell.
Everything came together through all the chaos thankfully Roberrt ended up in Tallahassee. He wasted no time becoming a starter by the first week of October. Scott went on to being the far and away best linemane and maybe player on the whole team in 2021.
All that forced playing time and playing through strains & sprains led to a need to get some things fixed up this offseason. In turn we lose Robert for the entirety of Spring Camp. A very small price to pay to have our fourth year offensive line room leader 100% for the 2023 Opener versus LSU in Orlando.

Addressing The Rumors Surrounding Derrick McClendon

I’m not at liberty to say anything pertaining to what may or may not be happening behind the scenes and I’m not sure exactly what information the paid sites are putting out there behind their paywalls. That said I can say that their is no breaking story that just came out of no where.
We are in a transition phase as a program. Every transfer isn’t some indictment on the program we are overflowing with capable talent so I’ll try to explain . Let’s take a look at the facts that we do know. If you look his name up it says red-shirt sophomore but the truth is without Covid-19, and waivers etc he would be a RS Senior in 2023. He has battle and battled and was finally in-line to be a true leader on this team. Then the last several months happened.
Jared Verse shocked the CFB world by returning for another year and I can’t put into words how much he affects the group. Next up you bring in young and uber athletic Gilber Edmund whose stregth is setting the edge and stopping the run but also with a high upside as a pass rusher & he is also a few years younger. Add in Jaden Jones out of Juco, Dennis Briggs and Braden Fiske sliding outside; its crowded.
Derrick McClendon would be an absolutely huge piece to have and would be a key part of the two deep rotation but no one can or should blame him for looking into options elsewhwere where he could have an expanded role so can be the type of leader on the field he wants to be. He is cherished as a member of the team by the coaching staff, his brothers and fans such as myself alike.
Don’t belkeve any solatious bull spread by trolls etc. and listen t sources you can trust. All we can do is sit back and hope that he either he decides to stay a Seminole and hell.lead us to the promised land or he does.make.the best choice possible for his family should he transfer out of town. Tell me what you think in the comments.
