Malik Benson Commits to the #Climb

Did you think Mike Norvell and his staff would be done landing players with elite speed? If you thought so, you are incorrect. Former Alabama wide receiver Malik Benson has elected to spend his final year of eligibility with the Garnet and Gold. Benson is a former high school track star who ran time as low as 10.4 seconds in the 100-meter rash.

Benson is not a track guy trying to play football however. He showed serious ability in high school and the junior college ranks. Benson was named the top junior college player for the 2023 recruiting cycle. He uses his track speed effectively to take the top off of defenses.

Benson has the type of ability where he can take a five yard slant and house it. This is a type of player that can only make our offense more difficult to defend. This is an excellent get for Coach Norvell and company.
