Recruiting Notes
As we have talked about over and over again Norvell and staff have finally built the neccesary relations in recruiting and it is paying dividends. There hasn’t been anyone to commit or decommit over the weekend but there were certainly some developments.

I recently wrote……..
I have sources that are extremely close to this situation and everything in there was true. That said his recruitment did a sharp left hand turn over the weekend with his visit to UGA. There is only so much I can say but it boils down to that the lead person handling his recruitment has changed. While Mom was the one known to be his main contact it is no longer the case.
This amounts to a total reset of his recruitment, this past weekend, with it being the first visit with KJ’s father as his lead advisor. Family is extremely important for them and Kirby was 100% ready for this development and absolutely knocked it out of the park. The visit was sensational in every aspect and it will be tough sledding for anyone to top it.
There is still a shot if Norvell and staff can get the whole family on campus but there is just so only so much FSU can offer when compared to UGA with them being locals. With NIL and all the gray areas to exploit in today’s recruiting market UGA has a major advantage and if they go ALL In on a guy like this it becomes a situation where Norvell has to ask himself just how many resources and time to spemd recruiting him all over from scratch. It’s a long ways away from NSD 2024 but I now believe he will end up a Georgia Bulldog unfortunately but we will see.

I absolutely love this young man’s game, attitude, charisma, all of it. He fits the exact body type new DB’s Coach Pat Surtain is after. He has offered a lot of guys this size and recently landed JUCO talent Ashlynd Barker at 6’3” 200 lbs. Ricardo is ranked the #10 Safety in the land while being the 22nd best player in the state of Georgia and 125th overall according to 247’s composite.

FSU has been in contact with Cardo for quite a while having visited for sure in January & March. He also has announced that he will in fact be taking one of his official visits to Tallahassee the weekend of June the 23rd and he is down to a Top 9 with FSU near the top right next to the Clemson Tigers.

This is a very interesting recuitment and right out of da u’s backyard. Defensive ends especially those that specialize in rushing off the edge are maybe the hottest commodity in all of Football next to LT & QB. With that in mind it appears that those jokers in Coral Gables aren’t even a factor in this thing. To be honest I had not spent a ton of time focusing on this particular recruitment and he snuck up on me to a certain extent.
Dylan made it to Tallahassee for an Unofficial Visit on April 15th giving him the chance to take in the Garnet & Gold Spring Showcase. It has been all good news for the Seminoles ever since. He has also scheduled an Official Visit on what may be the biggest recruiting weekend of the Summer, June 23rd. Norvell is hosting a mega camp with clinics and drills going on every other day or so from June 7th on through the 24th with this massively important official visit weekend for that final weekend.
Florida State was actually one of the very first Power 5 schools to offer Dylan and he made it up to Tallahassee for that year’s Mike Norvell Mega Camp. We offered March 2nd, 2021 and he has been stopping by every few months ever since. Syracuse beat us to to it by three weeks but Miami decided to offer a matter of hours after the Seminoles. For them to do that to a Miami kid is hilarious and it makes sense why they aren’t a major factor in his recruitment.
Just today Brendan Sonnone of Noles247 put ina Crystal Ball for Stephenson with a confidence of 7 out of 10. The ON3 RPM puts him at FSU at 92.1%. He has recently been quoted as saying he was “shutting it down and wrapping it all up soon, very soon” back after his spring game visit. I will be watching intently to see if he pulls the trigger following his official visit the weeekend of June 23rd.
Two OL Drop Top Fives
Two blue-chip offensive lineman we are after dropped brand new top fives over the weekend. There has been no big news ti report on for these two as Atkins just keeps cruising along. His eye for talent and how early our staff has been gettting these offers out is paying massive dividends. He will also be visiting on the monster recruiting weekend of June 23rd in Tally.

Multiple 247 Crystal Balls including the connoiseur Steve Wiltfong along with an ON3 RPM of 90.5%. FSU is listed with the other four schools all being in the PAC12. This tells me he isn’t just a California kid that just wants a chance to play CFB in the southeast but that FSU is very serious option and despite the distance doing just as much as the schools around him. He will also be visiting on the monster recruiting weekend of June 23rd in Tally.
