Recruiting Scoop | What is the NCAA's Quiet Period? | *Updating* Confirmed Weekend Visitors and Major Rating Bumps!
With the respit of the dead period ending for coaches on Wednesday morning Florida State's recruiting has exploded along with current commits CLIMBing the rankings. Coming weeks critical for Tribe24!
What is the Quiet Period?
While the name sounds as if no communication can occur between coaches and recruits that is not the case. With spring camps around the country getting underway at the beginning of March and then running through the middle of April, the quiet period runs parallel from March 1st to April 15th.
“A college coach may not have face-to-face contact with college-bound student-athletes or their parents off the college campus and may not watch student-athletes compete or visit their high school.”

This spring camp will be anything but quiet for Florida State Football Recruiting. Electronic communication is back open and the next several weeks Norvell and company will have some gigantic recruiting weekends. Unofficial and Official Visits are just fine and recruits are dying to get a peak at Spring camp in Tallahasee!

Key Targets & Scheduled Visits
Commits CLIMBing
Our #Tribe24 Commits are making big time jumps in the rankings every single m time they update. This most recent update was different though. Mike Norvell now has the track record at the highest CFB level of being am elite recruiter. Almost every commit has made a precipitous Climb since Norvell offered, several ine the same. Lets take a look at a couple big movers from ON3s recent update.
ON3 Recently adjusted their patented ON3 Industry Average to no longer account for all four recruiting services equally. I couldn’t be more happy about this and they are making bigtime strides as they chase down 247. We will be using ON3 much more here going forward. Their new breakdown:
ON3: 35% | 247Sports: 35% | Rivals 20% ESPN: 10%
QB Commit Luke Kromenhoek
Before this most recent update they had Luke at or below the 20th best QB and didn’t even place him into their top 300.
4☆ RB Kam Davis
Davis reminds me a whole lot of a guy named Cam Akers coming out of highschool even playing QB for his squad. This latest bump has him at #32 Nationally with 95.14 average and now the number two running back.
