FSU Football: Tribe23 Remaing Targets | Local Long Snapper Signs with the Noles | Cheez-It Bowl Depth Chart
Quite the feel good story as the Noles continue to button up roster needs in recruiting, and prepare for the Cheez-It Bowl versus Oklahoma.
What targets remain on the board for Tribe23?
Braden Fiske | DL | Western Michigan The Nole’s have been on Braden hard since day one, as the trenches are their biggest need. With an amazing offensive line haul in already and the loss of Keldrick Faulk signing a top ten portal defensive lineman would be huge. The 6’ 5” 300 pound grown man has already visited Tallahassee twice. There is still a ways to go before January 18th but I believe the Nole’s currently lead the way for the valuable senior upper-classmen defensive lineman.
Fentrell CypressII | CB | UVA
We have been reporting on Fentrell Cypress II since he entered the portal. It appears some real interest is developing here. The UVA Cornerback is considered by many to be the number one portal player available overall and is no doubt the best corner. I tend to agree as he is indeed a plug and play shutdown corner. He immediately locks down one side of field for whatever team he goes with. Norvell and staff are pushing Ohio State and Colorado here as of late for the South Carolina native’s signature. We will definitely keep our eyes on this one as he could change that defensive back room immediately. The closer we get to the eighteenth the more nervous I get. This is a championship level roster Norvell and company are building. Multiple reports including Brendan Sonnone on the X’s and Noles Live podcast confirmed when Deuce was in Tallahassee for an official visit it was his only one that week despite earlier plans and tons of interested parties. John Campbell Jr. | OT | Miami
The starting Miami left tackle shocked the college football world when he entered the portal and wasted zero time joining his teammate Darrell Jackson in Tallahassee for an official visit. weighing in at 320 pounds and heading into his redshirt senior season in 2023 (year 6). He has spent his entire career at Miami playing in thirty four games while starting eighteen of them. He has sixteen starts at left tackle and two at right tackle.
The Miami OL transfer hails out of Orlando, Florida and played his high school ball at Dr. Phillips High School. According to 247 sports John was a three-star and the #36 offensive tackle in the nation.
While being a sixth year player in 2023, thanks to a redshirt and the covid year exemption, Campbell would have two years to play in Tallahassee. He would immediately raise the floor and ceiling of the offensive line room at FSU. Offensive tackle is the hardest commodity to come by in all of college football and I believe he is the Nole’s to lose
Dozens of new names have and will continue hitting the portal between now and the eighteenth’s cutoff. With visits resuming following the end of the dead period on the twelth, there will be a five day visit window. We will bring you any new targets or recruiting intel as fast as we get it!

The six foot, 190 pound graduate wasted no time, and is reported to already be practicing with the Noles and will be on the sidelines for next week’s bowl game. While the position is often overlooked it is an extremely important part of your special teams operation and Tribe23 is lucky to have him.
